All About Me

Hi there! 
My name is Faye and I have decided to create a blog about things that I am interested in and matter to me.  

I am 38 years old, I'm Pisces which means I am very dreamy and love water, I don't know about the other attributes as I am not a believer of horoscopes!!  Here is a selfie of me. 

                                   

I am a mummy to two amazing girls who are 11 and 8. I am married to the most amazing woman who is my rock and my best friend. We are celebrating our 1 year anniversary in November! Excited much! 

I work as a teacher in a special needs secondary school.  I teach English, I love working with my students as they are amazing.  However, my job is a challenging one as I have to lip read all day (I have an interpreter to help) and teaching is a demanding job.  It does wear me out but I get so much satisfaction from the progress my students make.  

I am profoundly deaf and have a cochlea implant, some of my blogs will be about deafness, deaf culture, sign language, and feelings related to deafness. 
Some of my blogs will be used to show my love for a variety of things.  I am a creative person and love nothing more to get messy and create something beautiful at the end of it.  These are a few of the things that I love ❤️ ... in no order! 

• Sewing - I attend a weekly sewing class.
• Scrapbooking - I love paper, cards and all thing pretty.  I make cards, scrapbook albums for my photos so my daughters can have beautiful memories.
• Knitting - this is something I am still working on, I have to concentrate on this and don't have much time but intend to get back to it 
• Photography
• Reading 
• Cooking 
• Being with my family and friends 
• Sign language / communication 
• Shoes!!
